Bio

Antal "Tony" Pusztai was born in Györ, Hungary on the 7th of May, 1978. His remarkable musical talent became clear at a very early age. He started learning the guitar from his father at the age of seven.

 1995-1999 Conservatory of Györ (professors Ede Roth and Attila Reményi) 

2005 to 2009 University of Music and Performing Arts , Vienna (professor Alvaro Pierri)

Between 1998 and 2014 among several distinctions, he was awarded fifteen first prizes in the most prestigious guitar competitions of Europe and the USA.

Tony has collaborated with many well-known soloists and orchestras, including Erwin Schrott, Pat Metheny, Ralph Towner, Al di Meola, Attila László, Béla Szakcsi Lakatos, Fecó Balazs, Zoltán Orosz, Barnabás Kelemen, Rosenberg Trio, Lee Ritenour, George Benson, Dalibor Karvaly,  Janoska Ensamble.

His first solo album Wonderland was recorded in 2007 for Wildner Records.

In 2015 Tony appeared as a featuring artist on the album

"Twist of Rit' by Lee Ritenour, which was nominated for a Grammy.

Since 2017 Tony is also the guitarist of the Fortissimo Band
